Storyville is a little known band that had a short local run in Austin, TX back in the mid 90's. An all star line-up with an amazing lead singer but alas, they never blew up. David Grissom - guitar (John Mellencamp, Dixie Chicks) Tommy Shannon - bass (SRV) Chris Layton - Drums (SRV) Dave Holt - guitar Malford Milligan - Vocals
Good for us they got together again to do a gig at Antones in Austin. Yeah, I just ordered the DVD.
ON the gear side of things.... Ya'll see that "thing" Toby Keith plays in one of his videos? Well, I found that "thing". http://www.rockitguitars.com/ It's a Rockit Guitar. The above website link is pretty good. Although I don't think I could ever cut up my Road King and make an axe out of it. What this dude has concocted is pretty cool.
Five grand worth of cool......mmmmmmmmmmmm.... me thinks not. But still cool! Shred on my brethren, Asaphian1994

Hi...William from a free insurance quots company.I am writing to inform everybody here at Guitar.net about a magnificent opportunity. In association with Concord Records, the Yamaha Corporation, Berklee College of Music, Monster Cable and D'Addarrio Strings, we are thrilled to announce a very unique guitar competition commencing tomorrow October 1, 2009.We are hosting an online, international competition to find the top six guitarists, one in each of the following categories: Rock, Blues, Jazz/Fusion, Country, Acoustic & Classical/Flamenco. Each of the winners will win many different prizes, plus the grand prize winner will have the opportunity to record on the superstar guitar record, "String Theory." The album will include legendary guitarists from various genres blending their original styles. Some of the top 10 guitarists from around the world will participate. BB King, George Benson, John Scofield, Steve Lukather, and Lee Ritenour are just a sampling of some of the guest artists.
Hey, thanks for turning me onto Storyville. Absolutely smokin' schtuff... Maybe we'll have to get one of the "Dave's" here for an interview. :-)
I have Eric Johnson's Alien Love Child — Live and Beyond CD which features Malford Milligan on vocals. He absolutely tears the place up on that one too.
Don't think the Rockit guitar is for me... Still, it's um... Interesting.
