Variax

Okay, I use mine every weekend. I know, I know. It's not the same as a "real" guitar, right?
Wrong.
Nobody in the audience can tell that I'm not playing an acoustic guitar, and then switching to a Strat for the chorus, and then to a 335 for the bridge.
So, what are your opinions of Line 6's Variax?
I've yet to try one of these beasts. I love my Pod XT Live, and I get compliments on my tone. I'll have to check one out.
How are they as "normal" guitars. What's the build quality like?
